I threw a joint high school graduation party with my two best friends who I grew up with in my neighborhood. We invited all of our friends, parents, and relatives to our graduation party and asked all of our guests to wear some of their college apparel.
The party was the week before graduation, which helped ensure a great turnout. We decided to serve desserts only which reduced the overall cost and made preparation much easier. We set out cookies, cakes, rice crispy treats, and cupcakes on dessert tables in my backyard. We also had chilled milk to go along with all that sugary goodness.
Since we were all going to different schools we decided to go with an unrelated color theme. This turned out to be a refreshing change from all the graduation parties with college color themes.
The party was so much fun and everyone looked great representing their colleges. Since everyone was wearing college apparel it helped facilitate conversation amongst the parents that didn’t know each other. Everyone loved the idea and it was a very successful party!
