For Halloween this year I wanted to make a costume that wouldn’t break the bank and would be something original. I had the idea to be a Pinterest Board and got to work. I created a “Halloween Costume” board on Pinterest and uploaded photos of all my old Halloween costumes. Then I used Snag It, a computer program that lets you capture scrolling screen shots, to create the main image for my costume. I then overlaid a larger Pinterest logo onto the top of the board. I saved it onto a flash drive and had a local company print and laminate it for under $5. I used hot glue to attach thick red ribbon to create straps to my Pinterest Halloween Costume board. I have a splint on my finger so I had a friend draw on it to make it look like a “Pin It” button.
I got so many compliments on that costume and people got a kick out of being featured in some of the pins. The best part was it took less than an hour to make and was within my budget!
